NTPC Kanti receives FICCI Water Award 2023 for industrial water use efficiency

New Delhi: NTPC Kanti has been awarded the 11th Edition of FICCI Water Award 2023 under the "Industrial Water Use Efficiency" category. The award was presented to NTPC Kanti during the inaugural event of the 9th Edition of India Industry Water Conclave held at FICCI Federation House in New Delhi.

The award was presented by the Director General of National Mission for Clean Ganga, Government of India G Asok Kumar and the Chairperson of FICCI Water Mission Naina Lal Kidwai. The award recognizes NTPC Kanti's exceptional efforts in water conservation and efficient use of water resources in its operations.

"We are honored to receive this prestigious award from FICCI and grateful for the recognition of our efforts towards sustainable water management," said NTPC Kanti's Head of Project AK Manohar. "This award is a testament to our commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible corporate citizenship."

NTPC Kanti has implemented various water conservation measures including wastewater treatment, and reuse of treated water in its operations. The company has also initiated awareness campaigns among its employees and the local community to promote responsible water usage.

The FICCI Water Awards are presented annually to recognize exemplary efforts in water conservation and management by organisations across different sectors. The awards aim to encourage best practices and promote sustainable water management practices in India.
