NTPC Vindhyachal launches MMSKY internship programme to boost youth skill development

NTPC Vindhyachal has launched the “Mukhya Mantri Seekho Kamao Yojna (MMSKY)” annual internship programme

New Delhi: NTPC Limited’s Vindhyachal unit has launched the “Mukhya Mantri Seekho Kamao Yojna (MMSKY)” annual internship programme, marking a significant step in its efforts to promote skill development and enhance employability among youth.

The programme, inaugurated at the Regional Learning Institute (RLI) Vindhyachal, is a flagship initiative of the Government of Madhya Pradesh aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. A total of 24 trainees have been enrolled in the first batch.

Addressing the inaugural session, Dr. Debasmita Tripathy highlighted the growing importance of skill development in today’s competitive landscape. She appreciated the efforts of both the central and state governments in empowering youth and noted that this is NTPC’s first implementation of the MMSKY programme.

She encouraged trainees to leverage the opportunity to enhance their skills, build competencies, and imbibe the organisation’s core values, reaffirming NTPC’s commitment to nation-building through youth empowerment.

The onboarding process for trainees was facilitated with the support of Shyam Lal and Om Prakash Vaishya. The event was attended by senior officials, underlining NTPC Vindhyachal’s focus on nurturing talent and creating meaningful career pathways.
