New Delhi: NTPC Vindhyachal has been conferred the prestigious Agni Suraksha Puraskar 2026 at the International Business Conferences (IBC) Fire and Security Excellence Awards, held in Mumbai, in recognition of achieving zero fire incidents over the past two years.

The award has been conferred following a rigorous evaluation process conducted by a jury comprising eminent industry professionals and fire safety experts. Ashish Kumar Agrawal, Assistant General Manager (Safety), and Manoj Kumar, Deputy General Manager (Off-Site), received the award on behalf of NTPC Vindhyachal.

The achievement reflects the collective efforts of NTPC Vindhyachal’s employees, CISF personnel and contract workforce, supported by proactive preventive measures, deployment of modern fire protection systems, regular safety inspections, mock drills and continuous training programmes. The recognition underscores the station’s strong focus on fire safety, vigilance and robust safety management practices .

With this recognition, NTPC Vindhyachal has reaffirmed its position as a benchmark for safety excellence in the power sector, highlighting its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational safety and risk management.
