OMC bags 22 awards at Quality Concepts Convention in Bhubaneswar

OMC has secured 19 Gold and 3 Silver awards at the 7th Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC-2025) held in Bhubaneswar

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Odisha Mining Corporation Limited (OMC) has secured 19 Gold and 3 Silver awards at the 7th Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC-2025) held in Bhubaneswar on September 13–14. The event was organised by the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Bhubaneswar Chapter, under the theme “Quality Concepts for Atma Nirbhar Viksit Bharat.”

OMC’s 22 Quality Circle teams, drawn from its mines and plants, presented projects covering production, sales, environment, safety, IT, quality control and healthcare. The teams were recognised for their innovation, problem-solving and teamwork through case study presentations, model displays and knowledge assessments. With the Gold-winning teams qualifying for the National Convention on Quality Concepts (NCQC-2025), OMC will now showcase its performance at the national level.

The corporation has a consistent record of excellence at QCFI platforms, having previously won Gold and Silver at CCQC, as well as Par Excellence and Excellence awards at NCQC. In 2023, OMC teams also secured two Gold awards at the International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) in Beijing, highlighting its leadership in promoting quality and workplace innovation in the mining sector.
