Power Grid embarks Vigilance Awareness Week 2024

New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Power Grid) has kickstarted Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2024 through a walkathon led by Power Grid CMD RK Tyagi along with Director (Finance) G Ravisankar, Director (Personnel) Dr Yatindra Dwivedi and CVO DK Madan, in which employees of Corporate Centre, Gurugram participated.

An integrity pledge was administered by Power Grid CMD DK Madan to employees and senior officials. On this occasion, messages by President of India, Vice President of India, Prime Minister, Union Minister of Power and Central Vigilance Commissioner were read.

The Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) is being organised from October 28 to November 3 with the theme “Culture of Integrity for nation's Prosperity.” Various activities are being organised across Power Grid’s establishments in the country during the week. As a precursor of VAW 24, drawing/painting, essay and debate competitions were organised at Govt. School, Ulhawas, Gurugram and Gurugram University.

As on October 15, the total transmission assets of Power Grid and its subsidiaries stands at 1,78,975 ckm of transmission lines, 280 substations, 5,40,961 MVA of transformation capacity and a system availability of 99.81 percent.
