New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Railways, marked Independence Day 2025 with patriotic fervour at its offices nationwide.
At the RailTel corporate office in Gurugram, RailTel's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Sanjai Kumar unfurled the national flag in the presence of Directors, senior officials, and staff. The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances by employees, including patriotic songs and dance presentations reflecting India’s diverse culture and heritage.
Addressing the gathering, Kumar said, “Independence Day reminds us of our rich legacy and the progress we have made as a nation. While cherishing our Fundamental Rights, we must also fulfil our duties towards the country. We should remain committed to fostering a sustainable environment for the benefit of current and future generations.” He reaffirmed RailTel’s commitment to driving digital transformation and contributing to nation-building.
RailTel, one of India’s largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers, operates an extensive optical fibre network of 62,000 route kilometres along railway tracks, a 21,000 km citywide access network, 11,000+ points of presence, and 1,100 telecom towers across the country. The company has also established one of the world’s largest integrated public Wi-Fi networks at 6,112 railway stations, supported by advanced network operation facilities.
