RailTel organises All India Rajbhasha Sammelan in Kolkata

RailTel organised an All India Rajbhasha Sammelan in Kolkata to promote the effective and progressive use of Hindi as the Official Language and discuss emerging opportunities and challenges

New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RailTel) organised an All India Rajbhasha Sammelan in Kolkata to promote the effective and progressive use of Hindi as the Official Language and discuss emerging opportunities and challenges.

The programme featured presentations on RailTel’s Official Language initiatives and achievements, along with the release of a special issue of its official language magazine, Tavishi. RailTel Principal Executive Director, Eastern Region, Zakir Hussain Siddiqui, highlighted the organisation’s efforts to enhance the use of Hindi in official work.

RailTel CMD Sanjai Kumar emphasised the need to encourage employees in non-Hindi-speaking regions to learn and use Hindi in their day-to-day official work, while according equal respect to all Indian languages.

The conference also featured a lecture on “Artificial Intelligence and Official Language: Opportunities, Challenges and the Future” by Balendu Sharma ‘Dadhich’, CEO, AILGO Technologies, Dubai. News-reading and Hindi quiz competitions were also organised.

The event reaffirmed RailTel’s commitment to the progressive use of Hindi, knowledge-sharing and respect for India’s linguistic diversity.
