SECL launches 21-day Summer Camp 2026 for employees’ children

New Delhi: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) on May 17 inaugurated “Summer Camp 2026” for the children of employees at its headquarters in Bilaspur, as part of its employee welfare and family development initiatives.

The 21-day camp, themed “21 Days of Fun, Fitness & Learning”, was formally inaugurated by SECL Director (Human Resources) Biranchi Das through the ceremonial lighting of the lamp at DAV Public School, SECL Vasant Vihar, Bilaspur.

The summer camp will be organised across various operational areas of SECL from May 18 to June 10, 2026. Senior officials from SECL Headquarters, along with representatives from the JCC, Welfare Committee, SC/ST Council and CISTEA/OBC Association, were present during the inaugural ceremony.

Addressing the gathering, Das said that such initiatives contribute significantly to children’s personality development, self-confidence and creative growth. He encouraged children to actively participate in sports, arts, cultural activities and innovation-oriented programmes in addition to academics.

The camp will feature a range of activities including fitness and sports sessions, arts and crafts, music, dance, robotics workshops, personality development classes and other educational and recreational programmes aimed at enhancing teamwork and leadership skills among participants.

According to SECL, the initiative reflects the company’s continued commitment towards employee welfare and the holistic development of employees’ families.
