SECL organises a workshop on women’s health

Bilaspur: State-run coal miner South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a Miniratna PSU and a subsidiary company of Coal India Limited (CIL) under the Ministry of Coal, has organised a workshop on 'women's health and work-life balance' at its headquarters Bilaspur.

During the workshop, Dr Namrata Singh, a renowned Gynaecologist and CMS, Hasdeo Area of SECL highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance for health and how it can improve productivity and ultimately the performance. In the workshop, women employees of various areas of SECL also took part in the programme through video conferencing. On the occasion, SECL's CMS Meenakshi Deb and SECL's General Manager (HRD) Praveen Kumar were present along with women employees.

SECL is the largest coal-producing company in India. It is a "Miniratna" company and one of the eight fully-owned subsidiaries of Coal India Limited. The company has its headquarter at Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) and has 92 mines spread over Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh; 70 underground, 21 opencast, and 1 mixed. It is a schedule 'B' Mini Ratna CPSE of coal and lignite.
