SECL organises free diabetes check-up camp

SECL organised a free diabetes check-up camp at its headquarters and 398 of its employees underwent a test to check their blood sugar levels

Kolkata: SECL (South Eastern Coalfields Limited), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal and a subsidiary company of Coal India Limited (CIL), organised a free diabetes check-up camp at its headquarters in Bilaspur for its employees on Saturday.

The camp organised by SECL also created awareness about diabetes and about the body's ability or lack of it, to produce the required amount of the hormone insulin needed to control glucose levels in the blood. Diet charts were also distributed to the employees. Around 398 SECL employees, comprising of 314 men and 84 women, underwent a blood test to check their blood sugar levels.
