New Delhi: SJVN Limited marked its 38th Raising Day with celebrations held across all its offices and project sites in India and Nepal. The central function at the company’s Corporate Headquarters in Shimla was inaugurated by Chairman & Managing Director (Addl. Charge) Bhupender Gupta, who unfurled the SJVN corporate flag in the presence of Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta highlighted the company’s steady growth since its inception and shared that 410 MW of renewable energy projects have been commissioned since the last Raising Day. He also noted a major milestone for SJVN — the foundation stone for its 100 MW Nawa Solar Project in Rajasthan was laid by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on May 22, 2025. Looking ahead, he reaffirmed the company’s commitment to commissioning the 1,320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project and the 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Project.
Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma lauded the dedication of SJVN employees and their families, emphasizing their integral role in the company’s journey of growth and excellence.
As part of the celebrations, Gupta felicitated Sharma and various department heads for their leadership and organizational capabilities. Additionally, 15 employees were recognized as ‘Health Champions’ under the SJVN Employee Wellness Scheme, and 31 employees received the ‘People’s Choice – SJVN Star Awards 2025’ for their exemplary contributions.
The event concluded with a cultural evening featuring performances by renowned Bollywood artists, adding a festive note to the occasion.
