Shimla: SJVN Limited organised a two-days conclave – 'ASCENDANT' SJVN GEN X Conclave for the senior executives of SJVN at Royal Tulip, Kufri, Shimla. This conclave is the brainchild of the visionary SJVN Limited's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Nand Lal Sharma. The aim of this innovative initiative is to provide an opportunity to the senior executives of the company to understand and analyse different perspective in the various strategies for achieving the shared vision while apprising the management of various probable strategies interventions that can be explored.
The conclave was inaugurated by Sharma in the presence of SJVN Limited's Director (Electrical) RK Bansal, and Director (Personnel) Geeta Kapur. On the 2nd and concluding day of the conclave, State Chief Information Commissioner Narinder Chauhan (IAS Retd.) was the chief guest of the occasion. While SJVN Limited's Ex Executive Director Vijay Chopra and faculty members HB Sahay and SJVN Limited's Ex-Chief General Manager KK Gupta were also present.
Addressing the august gathering Sharma said that the focus of this conclave was to effectively percolate SJVN's shared vision of achieving 5,000 MW by 2023, 12,000 MW by 2030 and 25,000 MW by 2040. This helped in enhancing and further augmenting the core competency, team spirit and group cohesiveness. The management is committed to unleashing the potential of the employee to become better, with the individuals helping the company to be successful and this mutual commitment will lead to exemplary team efforts resulting in exceptional business performance.
To generate ideas and formulate a roadmap for making SJVN Limited a 25,000 MW company by 2040, seven teams from corporate headquarters and all the projects of SJVN Limited made presentation on various topics such as Idea to implementation of shared vision, SJVN DNA- Core Values, SJVN SWOT analysis, High Performing Teams – A Key to Success, Strategy Formulation – Addition of Hydro Power, Self Inspiration – A Road Ahead etc.
On the 2nd day of the Conclave, renowned Motivational Speaker, Leadership Trainer and CEO Coach, Dr Vivek Bindra gave a motivational speech to the participants.
