SJVN organises blood donation camp; collects over 200 units

SJVN Limited organised a blood donation camp at its Corporate Headquarters in Shimla, reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility and community welfare

New Delhi: SJVN Limited organised a blood donation camp at its Corporate Headquarters in Shimla, reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.

SJVN's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Bhupender Gupta said that such initiatives help foster a culture of compassion within the organisation while contributing meaningfully to the healthcare system.

The camp was inaugurated by Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma in the presence of Director (Finance) Parthajit De and Chief Vigilance Officer Pankaj Porwal, along with other senior officials.

Praising the enthusiastic participation, Sharma highlighted the importance of voluntary service and noted that SJVN will continue to organise similar initiatives to benefit society. He, along with his spouse Shally Sharma, also donated blood during the camp.

De commended the strong response from donors, emphasising that regular blood donation drives not only help save lives but also promote awareness and strengthen a sense of unity and humanitarian values among employees.

More than 200 units of blood were collected during the camp, with participation from employees, their family members, members of the Satluj Shree Ladies Club, and contractual workers.

The camp was organised in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla, whose medical team, including officers from the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion, supported the initiative.
