Sterling performance of NHPC Badminton team

The NHPC team gave a commendable performance and secured the third position in the Team event in both men and women category

New Delhi: NHPC Limited, India's premier hydropower company participated in the 24th Inter CPSU Badminton Tournament held under the aegis of PSCB (Power Sports Control Board) at Thyagraj Stadium, New Delhi from  December 14 to 18.

Eleven teams from leading power sector Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)/organisations i.e. Ministry of Power, Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), Central Electricity Authority (CEA), NHPC Limited, Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), Power Finance Corporation (PFC), SJVNL Limited, REC Limited, POSOCO, THDCIL and Powergrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) took part in the competition.

The NHPC team gave a commendable performance and secured the third position in the Team event in both men and women category. NHPC also emerged as the winner in men doubles event and runners-up in the women doubles event, third in women and men singles event. NHPC secured first and third position in Veteran Singles category as well. NHPC Limited's Director (Personnel) Nikhil Kumar Jain congratulated the members of the NHPC Badminton team for their sterling performance.
