Vigilance awareness week concludes at HPCL

During the week-long 'Vigilance Awareness' programme HPCL organised various activities to spared the massage of Integrity among its employees and people in general

Mumbai: Vigilance Awareness Week- 2019 that was being observed at all locations of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) across the country from October 28 came to an end on Saturday. The theme of the week this year was 'Integrity-A Way of Life,' which was suggested by the Chief Vigilance Commission (CVO).

HPCL organised various programmes across Refineries, Zonal Offices, Regional Offices, Terminals, Depots, LPG Plants, Retail Outlets, LPG Distributorships, Aviation Service Facilities etc. to mark the week and spared the massage of Integrity.

Activities such as lectures by eminent personalities, school and college programs, vendors and contractors meet, gram sabha, street plays, rallies, walkathons etc. were also organised at multiple locations on pan India basis during the vigilance week. Emphasis was given on enrolment of citizens, stakeholders for taking integrity e-pledge by setting up e-pledge kiosks across the country. Employees, stakeholders, customers and the general public participated in these events.

During the valedictory function at HPCL corporate headquarters, Ashutosh Dumbare, IPS, ADG–ACB, Maharashtra Police delivered a lecture on preventive vigilance and its relevance to fighting against corruption. HPCL's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) MK Surana and HPCL's Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) U Krishna Murty also addressed the employees on the occasion.

Vigilance Department's in-house magazine, 'Jagaran' was also released during the function.
