WCL organises Chintan Shivir to align future roadmap with vision 2047

New Delhi: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) organised a Chintan Shivir on January 23 to align its future roadmap with the national objective of Atmanirbhar Bharat in the energy sector and India’s Vision 2047.

The deliberative exercise focused on reviewing WCL’s performance and formulating time-bound action plans to strengthen coal production and dispatch, safety, cost efficiency, sustainability and digitalisation. The initiative was led by WCL's Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) JP Dwivedi in the presence of Director (Finance) Bikram Ghosh; Director (Human Resources) Dr. Hemant Sharad Pande; and Chief Vigilance Officer Ajay Madhukar Mhetre.

Around 125 officers from WCL Headquarters and its 10 Areas, including Area General Managers, Heads of Departments and young officers, participated in the Shivir. Addressing the gathering, the CMD emphasised the adoption of modern technologies, consistent coal quality and enhanced operational efficiency as key enablers for achieving Vision 2047. He also highlighted the importance of cost-effective mining, prudent resource utilisation and organisational agility.
