Govt announces job vacancies for Joint Secretary & Director posts; click to know

UPSC has announced the lateral recruitment for Joint Secretary level and Director level posts on a contract basis in various ministries of the central government

UPSC Recruitment 2021: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the lateral recruitment for Joint Secretary level and Director level posts on a contract basis in various ministries of the central government. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the job from the February 6 to March 22.

Total number of vacancies: 30 posts

Post name: Joint Secretary & Director (Contract Basis)

Mode of application: Candidates have to apply online through the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.

Age and pay: The minimum and maximum age limit for the Joint Secretary level post are 40 and 55 years respectively and the Pay will be fixed at the minimum of

Pay Level-14 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC (approximate gross salary would be around Rs. 2,21,000/- including DA, Tpt A & HRA in present level).
The minimum and maximum age limit for the Director level post are 35 and 45 years respectively and the Pay will be fixed at the minimum of Pay Level-13 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC(approximate gross salary would be around Rs 1,82,000/- including DA, Tpt A & HRA in present level).

As per the notification, there are a total of three vacancies for the Joint Secretary level in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. The rest vacancies are for the Director level in the following departments and ministries.
