New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has invited job applications for the post of Director (Research & Development). Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the job before December 6. The Director (Research & Development) post in BEL is vacant since June 20.

BEL, a Navratna defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has solidified its position as a leader in defence electronics, manufacturing radars, sonar systems, and electronic warfare equipment for military and non-defence sectors.

The Director (R&D), a board-level position, will report directly to the Chairman and Managing Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping BEL's R&D policies and steering the company's technological advancements to uphold its status in the electronics and defense industries. Core responsibilities include developing innovative strategies, closely monitoring domestic and international technology trends, and ensuring alignment with India's "Atma Nirbhar Bharat" self-reliance initiative.

Eligible candidates must be engineering graduates, with a preference for those holding degrees in electronics or computer science. Applicants should have significant experience in design, development, or production within the electronics sector, ideally at a senior management level. Candidates with backgrounds in the defence industry will be given preference.
