EIL Recruitment 2022: Navratna PSU, Engineers India Limited (EIL) has posted a job vacancy through the PESB portal for the engagement of the Director (Projects). Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the job before March 31. The post will fall vacant on October 1. Currently, SK Handa is serving as Director (Projects) of EIL.

Director (Project) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He/She has overall responsibility for the execution of projects both as a consultant as well as EPC contractor through task forces comprising of multi-disciplinary engineering teams supported by Services Departments and Construction Division. He/She is required to provide overall guidance, support and constant up-gradation of the technical skills of the employees to match with the needs of the time and keep abreast of the latest developments. He/She is also required to maintain a close liaison with concerned Ministries, Government Institutions, Clients, Vendors, Contractors and Indian Embassies abroad.

Pay scale: 1,80,000 – Rs 3,40,000 (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years.

The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as on the date of the vacancy.

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 5,000 crore or more;
(d) Private Sector in company where the annual turnover is *Rs 5,000 crore or more.

Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Educational Qualification

The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate with good academic record from a recognised university or institution.
Applicants holding an MBA and Post Graduate Diploma in Management will have an added advantage.

Experience

The applicant should have adequate Technical or Operational or Project Management experience and exposure at a senior level of management in a large organisation of repute, out of which at least five years in the last ten years should have been in a major consultancy organisation.

Experience in project management in both domestic & overseas projects especially in the hydrocarbon sector is desirable.

Note: (i) Applicants from Central Government / All India Services should be holding a post of the level of Joint Secretary in Government of India or carrying equivalent scale of pay on the date of application.

(ii) Applicants from the Armed forces of the Union should be holding a post of the level of Major General in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy or Air Force on the date of application.

Applicants from State Public Sector Enterprises or Private Sector should be working at Board level position or at least a post of the level immediately below the Board level on the date of application.

Duration of the appointment

The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or up-to-the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
