GAIL Recruitment 2019: State-owned Gas Authority of India (GAIL) has invited applications for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) and the last date to send in applications is July 18. A CMD is the Chief Executive of the Corporation and accountable to its Board of Directors and the government. They are responsible for efficient functioning of the Corporation for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.

Currently, Bhuwan Chandra Tripathi is serving as the CMD of the public sector undertaking (PSU). He is serving his second term after getting an extension last time. His term ends in July this year, but he is due to retire in January 2020.

A notification released by the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) said that applicants from Central Govt/All India Services should be holding the post of the level of Additional Secretary with the government or carrying equivalent scale of pay.

Applicants from the Armed forces of the Union should be holding a post of the level of Lt General in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force.

Qualifications

The applicant should be a graduate with good academic record from a recognised University/Institution. Applicants with Technical/MBA qualifications will have added advantage.
