New Delhi: Alok Kumar Gupta is set to take over as Director (Operations) at ONGC Videsh Ltd. His name has been recommended by the Public Enterprise Selection Board after interviewing a total of seven candidates. Gupta is currently serving as Group General Manager at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).
Among the candidates who were interviewed for the job, five were from within ONGC, one from ONGC Videsh and one candidate was from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL).
Gupta joined ONGC as Chief Engineer in 1983 and has been with the PSU since then.
