Kolkata: Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri has assumed charge as Director (Service Business) of Balmer Lawrie & Company Limited, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, on March 1. Prior to this assumption, he was heading the sales and marketing function of SBU (strategic business unit), industrial packaging of the same organisation. He has taken over as Director (Service Businesses) of the company with effect from March 1, the company said in a press release on Monday.
Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri was recommended for the Director post by a PESB panel on September 12, 2019. He was selected from the list of 10 candidates who were interviewed in the selection meeting. As Director (Service Business) Palchaudhuri will be overseeing the Logistics (Infrastructure & Services) and Travel & Vacations businesses of the company.
He holds a bachelor's of engineering (E&C) from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee) and a PGDM from IIM Lucknow. He has a professional work experience of over 25 years.
Palchaudhuri had joined Balmer Lawrie in 2012 and had led the ERP implementation across the organisation. He also has held significantly contributed in the areas of sales & marketing and supply chain management in the company. Prior to joining Balmer Lawrie, he has worked with a wide variety of organisations in the IT Services / Consulting domains in India and abroad.
