New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Arbind Prasad as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited (HEC Limited) on Monday. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Prasad has been appointed as CVO of HEC Limited for an initial period of three years, from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Prasad is an Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS) officer of 1994-batch. He had worked as CVO of Central Coalfields Limited (CCI) and an ADG of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Ranchi.
Arbind Prasad has been appointed as CVO of HEC Limited for an initial period of three years, from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier
Prior to joining CCI, Prasad has worked in planning and development of landline and mobile networks, material management, transmission planning and broadband network implementation in telecom fields.
Prasad has completed his bachelor of engineering (Electronics and Communications) from NIT, Patna and masters in engineering (Electronics and Communication) from IIT- Roorkee. He also underwent training of the Management Development Programme at the Asian Institute of Management, Manila (Philippines).
Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited (HEC Limited) is a Ranchi based PSU under the Ministry of Heavy Industries. HEC was established in the year 1958, as one of the largest integrated engineering complexes in India. It manufactures and supplies capital equipment's & machinery and renders project execution required for core sector industries.
