New Delhi: Arun Kumar Singh is set to be the next Director (Projects) of RITES Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Railways. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday. He is currently serving as Group General Manager in RITES Ltd only.

Singh has been recommended for the post of Director (Projects) of RITES from a list of eleven candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel. Six candidates who were on the list were from RITES, two from RVNL and one each from TCIL, BEML and Indian Railways Service of Engineers (IRSE). Singh will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD).

An IRSE officer of the 1992 batch, Arun Kumar Singh has vast experience in all aspects of construction and maintenance of Civil Engineering in Railways. After working with Indian Railways for more than 16 years, Singh joined DMRC as General Manager/Consultancy Services in 2013. At the time of leaving DMRC in 2016, Singh was working as a Chief engineer (Property Development).

As Chief Project Manage of DMRC, Singh looked after the construction of the Delhi Metro Line-2 extension from Janhagirpuri – Samaypur Badli (Approx 4.8 Km) elevated corridor including 3 metro stations. Also, the construction of Delhi Metro Line-7 from Shalimarbagh (station excluding) to Majlis Park consists of an Underground (twin tunnel by TBM) as well as an elevated corridor with one Underground and one elevated station.

In 2016 he joined RITES as General Manager/Urban Transport. Since August 2017, Singh has been working as Project Director/Consultant to Metro Express Project, MauritiusProject Director/Consultant to Metro Express Project, Mauritius. At the time of his recommendation as Director (Projects), Singh was working as Group General Manager.
