New Delhi: Ashok Kumar Kalra has been chosen for the post of Director (Human Resources), Engineers India Ltd. PESB finalised his name after interviews carried out on August 1, 2019. There were 6 people called up for the interview along with Kalra. His joining will be subject to requisite clearances and cabinet committee for appointments (ACC) approval. Kalra will replace V C Bhandari, the outgoing Director (HR) of EIL who is retiring February next year.

An engineering graduate from REC Rourkela Kalra had started his career as site engineer in Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd. Kalra had joined EIL in January 1992. He was promoted as Dy General Manager (HR) in 2014.
