CIL organises Government e-Marketplace training workshop

New Delhi: In order to increase the volume of goods and services procured from Government e-Marketplace (GeM), Coal India Limited (CIL) organised a one-day workshop to train executives and vendors at its headquarters. The workshop was attended by a number of coal executives and vendors.

Government e-Marketplace (GeM)

Government e-Marketplace (GeM) is the national public procurement portal offering end-to-end solution for all procurement needs of the Central and state government departments and PSUs. GeM has transformed public procurement in the country by leveraging technology and making procurement contactless, paperless and cashless.

GeM facilitates procurement at the right price, right quality and right quantity in a transparent and efficient manner. The platform reduces manual process inefficiencies and human interventions in procurement and enables increased coverage, access and efficiency of faceless standardised public procurement.

Coal India Limited

Coal India Limited (CIL) is a Maharatana PSU under the Ministry of Coal and has its headquarters in Kolkata, West Bengal. It is the largest coal-producing company in the world. The company contributes to around 82 percent of the coal production in India. It has seven subsidiary companies.
