NHPC’s CMD unfurled tricolor on 73rd Independence Day

NHPC India celebrated India’s 73rd Independence Day with great fervour and enthusiasm while the CMD said the day to remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and distinguished national leaders

Faridabad: NHPC Limited, India's premier hydropower company and a 'Mini Ratna' Category-I Enterprise of the Government of India celebrated India's 73rd Independence Day with great fervour and enthusiasm on 15th August 2019. The celebration began with the unfurling of National flag by Shri Balraj Joshi, Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC and singing of National Anthem at NHPC Office Complex, Faridabad. Ratish Kumar, Director (Projects), Nikhil Kumar Jain, Director (Personnel), M.K. Mittal, Director (Finance) and Janardan Choudhary, Director (Technical) were also present on the occasion along with other senior NHPC officers and their family members.

Speaking on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day, Balraj Joshi, Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC extended his greetings to the entire NHPC family and said that we should remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and distinguished national leaders. He also said we can pay real tribute to our martyrs through our dedication and hard work towards the nation and NHPC as well.

NHPC Limited is an Indian Hydropower generation PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power. Earlier it was known as National Hydroelectric Power Corporation. The company was incorporated in the year 1975 with an authorised capital of Rs 2,000 million and with an objective to plan, promote and organise an integrated and efficient development of hydroelectric power in all aspects.
