D Bandyopadhyay assumes interim charge of CMD’s post at BHEL

Bandyopadhyay will be holding additional charge of the post till Nalin Shinghal, who was appointed to the CMD’s post a day ago, assumes charge

New Delhi: A day after Nalin Shinghal was appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of state-run engineering firm Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) for a period of five years, the public sector undertaking (PSU) has given interim charge of the post to D Bandyopadhyay, Director (HR). Bandyopadhyay will be holding additional charge of the post till Shinghal assumes charge.

"In terms of SEBI (Listing Obligations & Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 and SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015 , it is informed that the Company has received a communication dated 01.07.2019 (received on 02.07.2019), from the Department of Heavy lndustry, Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, inter-alia informing that the Competent Authority has approved that Shri D. Bandyopadhyay, Director (HR), BHEL is entrusted with additional charge of the post of CMD till Dr Nalin Shinghal joins as CMD, BHEL," said a BSE filing.
