Dharmendra Pradhan writes a personal letter to steel PSUs. What did he say?

New Delhi: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reached out to employees of PSUs/organisations of the steel ministry through a personal letter on Wednesday, urging them to be part of the mission of making India a $5-trillion economy. He urged people employed with the steel sector to play a key role in achieving the milestone while asking them to come up with ideas and suggestions.

'Steel industry is the backbone of the economy'

Emphasising the role played by the steel industry in the economy, the minister said that the industry is the backbone of the economy, impacting almost every sector and is uniquely positioned to influence the national growth in a distinctly positive way. Pradhan added that the domestic steel industry is on a solid trajectory.

'National Steel Policy targets will take industry to new heights'

While noting that the targets envisioned in the National Steel Policy 2017 will take Indian Steel Industry to newer pinnacles, Pradhan said, "I  believe every person in the steel industry has made invaluable contribution to propel the country to become the second-largest steel producer globally and every employee's role will be vital to take Indian steel sector to newer heights, thus contributing directly to the Indian growth story."

'One for Team Steel India'

While naming it Team Steel India, the former Lok Sabha member urged every employee to renew their determination and bring more shine and strength to the Indian steel industry. Pradhan said that his personal connection with the employee of the steel PSUs will definitely act as a morale booster and also sensitise employees about the importance of their work which will further motivate them.
