Dr G Jawahar appointed as Director (HR) BEML Limited

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Dr G Jawahar for the post of Director (HR) of BEML Limited on Friday

New Delhi: Dr G Jawahar has been appointed as Director (HR) of BEML Limited, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the appointment of Dr Jawahar on Friday. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Dr Jawahar has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation i.e. May 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (HR) in Power Finance Corporation (PFC), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power.

Dr Jawahar has completed an MBA in Management from Madurai Kamaraj University and holds a PhD in Human Resource Management (Training and Development) from Jamia Millia Islamia. Prior to joining PFC, he has served in Power Grid, another Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power.

Jawahar was recommended for the post of Director (HR) of BEML Limited by the PESB panel on July 27, 2022. He was recommended for the post from a list of six candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel.
