FM Nirmala Sitharaman initiates pre-budget consultations

Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday initiated pre-budget consultations with industrial, infrastructural and climate change experts

New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday initiated pre-budget consultations. For this, virtual meetings were held with industry chamber heads and infrastructure experts about their expectations from the upcoming budget. "Union Ministers of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad and other senior officials attended the meeting. The participants gave suggestions on the 2023-24 Budget, which will be presented in Parliament by the finance minister on February 1." said the finance ministry in a statement.
