New Delhi: The government has nominated Debashish Panda (IAS) as Director on the Central Board of State Bank of India (SBI). He has been appointed with immediate effect and until further orders, SBI said in a regularity filing to the stock exchanges on Saturday.

Debashish Panda is an Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer of the 1987 batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre. He is currently serving as Special Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services. Prior to taking up charge as Special Secretary, he was serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Financial Services.
