Mumbai: Andhra University has awarded a doctorate to Pushp Kumar Joshi, Director (Human Resources), at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). Joshi was awarded PhD in Human Resource Management (HRM) under the guidance of Prof K John, Head of Department, HRM Department, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.

His topic of research was on leadership development through Emotional and Social Intelligence Competencies. The research pertains to leadership development through an experiential learning process involving coaching and mentoring with the development of Emotional and Social Intelligence competencies at its core.
