Indian Oil’s Day celebration at Refineries HQ

New Delhi: State-run company celebrated 60th Indian Oil Day was at its Refineries Headquarters in New Delhi on Sunday. SM Vaidya, Executive Director (Operations), Refineries Headquarters, led the celebrations. Vaidya, in his address, urged the team IOCL to make a firm resolve on the momentous occasion for the timely completion of BS-VI projects, keeping the commitment to safety and environment as a topmost priority.

"He urged the IndianOil team to work as the energy of India, which is the very purpose of IndiaOil's whole business and essence of its service to the nation. He added that over the past 60 years besides business, IOC people have displayed exemplary service beyond the call of duty in the service of the nation. He acknowledged with warmth and appreciation, the passion and zeal of generations of IOCians for building a strong organisation and said that people are our biggest strength and it is our duty to take this rich legacy forward and script new success stories in the service of the nation," a press release said.

Vaidya joined Indian Oil in 1987 and has worked at various positions at Panipat Refinery. He was involved in the commissioning and stabilisation of the Panipat Refinery Units. He also served as head of Mathura Refinery. He was selected as Director (Refineries), Indian Oil, in June 2019. He is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from NIT Rourkela and holds a diploma in Business Management.
