IndianOil’s H Shankar set to be Director (Technical) of CPCL

H Shankar, who is currently working as General Manager in IndianOil has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of CPCL

New Delhi: H Shankar is set to be Director (Technical) of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), a group company of IndianOil and a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoNPNG). He has been recommended by a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. Currently, he is working as General Manager in India Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil).

PESB has recommended the name of H Shankar for the post of Director (Technical) of CPCL. He is currently working as General Manager in IndianOil

Shankar has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of CPCL from a list of six candidates who were interviewed by the selection panel. A total of three candidates who were on the list were from IndianOil and two candidates from Engineers India Limited (EIL).

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) a group company of IndianOil is an Indian state-owned oil and gas corporation headquartered in Chennai. The company was formed as a joint venture in 1965 between the government, AMOCO and National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), having a shareholding in the ratio 74 percent: 13 percent: 13 percent respectively. From the grassroots stage, CPCL Refinery was set up with an installed capacity of 2.5 million tonnes per year in a record time of 27 months at a cost of Rs. 430 million without any time or cost overrun.
