IREDA is getting a Director (Finance). Click to know

New Delhi: Dr Ramesh Chandra Sharma is set to be the new Director (Finance) of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA). Dr Sharma's name has been recommended by the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) on Thursday. He is currently serving as General Manager in the same organisation.

Dr Sharma's name has been selected from the list of six candidates who were interviewed in the selection meeting.

A total of two candidates who were on the list were from IREDA and others were from Power Finance Corporation (PFC), Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC), RailTel Corporation of India Ltd (RCIL), and SJVN Limited.

IREDA is a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). It was established as a non-banking financial institution in 1987. IREDA engaged in promoting, developing and extending financial assistance for setting up projects relating to new and renewable sources of energy and energy efficiency and conservation with the motto: "Energy for Ever".
