KP Bora appointed as Deputy Secretary in Textiles Ministry

New Delhi: Kumar Padmapani Bora has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Bora has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles, Delhi under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS). He has been appointed for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until the furthers orders, whichever is earlier.

Bora is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS – IT) officer of 2009-batch. He is currently serving as the Joint Commissioner in the Income Tax Department, Mumbai. Earlier, he was also recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.

Education 

Bora had completed his Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Internation Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He also holds a Masters in Business Law and Taxation from the University of NALSAR (National Academy of Legal Studies & Research), Hyderabad and MBA in Finance.
