M Srinivas (IDAS) gets additional charge of UCIL CVO

New Delhi: M Srinivas (IDAS) has been given additional charge of Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL), a Miniratna PSU under the Department of Atomic Energy. Srinivas is an Indian Defence Accounts Services (IDAS) officer of 1995 batch. He is currently serving as CVO of Electronics Corporation of India Limited, a Hyderabad-based Miniratna PSU under the Department of Atomic Energy. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the proposal for the entrustment of the additional charge of the post of CVO of UCIL to him on Thursday.

According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Srinivas has been given additional charge as CVO of UCIL for a period co-terminus with his deputation tenure, i.e. May 19, 2022, or till the appointment of a regular CVO in UCIL or until further orders, whichever is the earlier.

Education & Background

Srinivas has completed his postgraduation in English Literature from Nagarjuna University. He had joined ECIL as CVO on May 20, 2019. Prior to joining ECIL, he had worked as Integrated Financial Adviser (IFA), Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam. He was also Financial Adviser for DRDO Cluster of six Laboratories (NSTL Visakhapatnam, DMRL Hyderabad, NPOL Kochi, NMRL Ambernath, DL Jodhpur and DMSRDE Kanpur) dealing with Naval Systems & Materials and for the Eastern Sea Board of Coast Guard.

Uranium Corporation of India (UCIL)

The corporation was founded in 1967 and is responsible for the mining and milling of uranium ore in India. The firm operates mines at Jadugora, Bhatin, Narwapahar, Turamdih and Banduhurang.
