The Ministry of Coal will be launching the 6th tranche of commercial coal mine auction for the sale of coal on November 3 under MMDR and CMSP

New Delhi: The Ministry of Coal will be launching the 6th tranche of commercial coal mine auction for the sale of coal on November 3, said an official statement released by the Ministry of Coal on Wednesday. The coal mines, including lignite mines, are a mix of CMSP & MMDR, it added. These mines are fully or partially explored, and are of various types including coking, non – coking etc. "Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, will be invited as the chief guest who will be launching the next tranche of auctions," said the statement.

Union Minister for Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs, Pralhad Joshi, and Minister of State for Coal, Mines and Railways, Raosaheb Patil Danve will be the guests of honour for the event.

The commencement of the sale of the tender document shall start on November 3. Details of the mines, auction terms, timelines etc can be accessed on the MSTC auction platform. The auction shall be held online through a transparent two-stage process, on the basis of percentage revenue share.
