NHPC organises operations and maintenance meeting

During the meet, performance of power stations in FY 2018-2019 and the current year was reviewed and discussed

New Delhi: NHPC Limited conducted a one-day O&M Meet at New Delhi on June 26. The meet was chaired by Balraj Joshi, CMD, NHPC in the presence of Ratish Kumar, Director (Projects), MK Mittal, Director (Finance), Janardan Choudhary, Director (Technical) and Ved Prakash, Chief Vigilance Officer. The meet was attended by heads of power stations, regional executive directors, HODs of corporate divisions and other senior executives.

During the meet, the performance of power stations in FY 2018-2019 and the current year was reviewed and discussed. Joshi congratulated all power stations for continual improvement in operational performance and emphasised the need for further optimisation of resources. He also urged them to set new benchmarks comparable to global standards in the changing power market scenario. In the meeting, technical issues related to power plant performance and issues related to HR, finance, commercial etc were discussed.

Further, NHPC CMD stressed upon compliance of all regulatory/statutory obligations in each sphere of plant operation and asked the gathering to adopt an inclusive approach by taking along all stakeholders for the sustainable functioning of power stations.
