NTPC Faridabad signs MoU with NSIC

New Delhi: NTPC Limited (Faridabad) and National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) have signed a memorandum of agreement (MoU) on Wednesday at Faridabad. Under this MoU skill-development training and government certification of the courses will be provided to the girls by Skill Development Centre, under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme of NTPC Faridabad.

The Skill Development Centre will provide training and certification of three courses- Tailoring & Fashion Designing, Skin & Beauty Care and Computer-Training. As per this MoU signed between the two PSUs, the professional skill training will be given around 300 girls in a period of one year, which will further help them for better employment opportunities and self-development, NTPC said in a statement. MoU was signed by NTPC Faridabad's General Manager (HR) Premlata and NSIC's Deputy General Manager Rajesh Kumar in the presence of NTPC Faridabad's Project Head D Nandi and NTPC Faridabad's General Manager (SSC-DBF & Hydro) Aseem Jain and other senior officials from NTPC and NSIC.

NTPC Faridabad, a gas-based thermal power plant, is located at Faridabad, Haryana. The power plant is one of the gas-based power plants owned by NTPC. The gas for the power plant is sourced from GAIL HBJ Pipeline. Source of water for the power plant is Rampur distributaries of Gurgaon canal.
