NTPC Limited bags CBIP 2020 award

NTPC Limited has been conferred with CBIP 2020 award for its outstanding contribution to the thermal power sector

New Delhi: NTPC Limited, India's largest power generation company has bagged the prestigious recognition from Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP) 2020 award for outstanding performing utility in the thermal power sector. The CBIP award 2020 recognises NTPC's outstanding contribution to the Nation by setting new benchmarks in generation and maintenance practices, excellence in engineering and use of the latest state-of-the-art technologies and smart solutions.

The CBIP awards recognise outstanding contributions by organisations involved in the formulation of policies and programmes and their implementation, research and development, design, execution, management, operation etc

Minister of State for Ministry of Jal Shakti, Rattan Lal Kataria presented the award to NTPC Limited's Director (Operations) Prakash Tiwari. On the occasion, Central Electricity Authority's (CEA) Chairperson Prakash Mhaske, Central Water Commission ((CWC)'s Chairman RK Jain and CBIP's Secretary VK Kajaria were present on the occasion.

The CBIP awards recognise outstanding contributions by organisations involved in the formulation of policies and programmes and their implementation, research and development, design, execution, management, operation and maintenance, renovation & modernisation, manufacturing of equipment and capacity building in the development of water resources, power and renewable energy sectors in the country.
