NTPC Limited celebrates its 45th raising day

New Delhi: NTPC Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power, celebrated its 45th raising day on November 9. On the occasion of 45th raising day of NTPC Limited, Union Minister for Power, New and Renewable Energy RK Singh congratulated NTPCians for their consistent performance. He also urged the company to become a global player.

On the occasion of the NTPC's 45th raising day celebrations, Minister lauded the company for keeping power costs under check through its excellence in operations. On the occasion, Ministry of Power's Secretary SN Sahai and NTPC Limited's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Gurdeep Singh were also present. While speaking on the occasion Minister added that coal-based power will be there as we have a huge requirement. Happy to see NTPC managed to maintain power costs by driving efficiencies despite a spurt in coal price.

On the occasion, a cultural program titled 'Satyamev Jayate' was presented by the children of the employees of NTPC family across locations. It was a celebration of music, drama and dance, honouring the nation's founding principle and patriotism. The evening also witnessed the presentation of the Swarn Shakti awards to the best performing power stations of NTPC in various categories.
