New Delhi: NTPC Limited, India's largest integrated power producer has signed an MoU with MECON Limited for consultancy and project management services for its coal mines. The pact will further help in strengthening the infrastructure facilities at the NTPC coal mines.

The MoU will help NTPC to utilize and implement MECON's expertise in various fields. The expertise and experience of MECON will be truly beneficial for NTPC coal mines in engineering consultancy and project management services related to design, engineering mining infrastructure facilities, power supply and distribution facilities, mining plan, feasibility report (FR) / detail project report (DPR) preparation/validation, and environmental compliances.

This MoU was signed by NTPC's Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining) Partha Mazumder and MECON's General Manager (Marketing) RK Verma in the presence of MECON's Director (Commercial) & CMD designate Sanjay Kumar Verma and other senior officials from both the companies.
