Parag Verma set to be next Director (Works) of IRCON

Parag Verma has been recommended for the post of Director (Works) of Ircon International Limited (IRCON) by PESB on Monday

New Delhi: Parag Verma is set to be the next Director (Works) of Ircon International Limited (IRCON), a PSU under the Ministry of Railways. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on June 6. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Infrastructure) in the same organisation.

Verma has been recommended for the post of Director (Works) of IRCON from a list of 10 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on June 6. Out of 10 candidates, five candidates including Verma, who were on the list were from IRCON, two candidates from RVNL and one each from CONCOR, DFCCIL and Indian Railways Service of Engineers.

Verma is an Engineering Graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur. He also completed a Master of Engineering in design & analysis of process equipment from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology. He has a very long association with IRCON of over 12 years. He joined Ircon Infrastructure & Services Limited as Chief Operating Officer in January 2010. He has been serving as Executive Director (Infrastructure) since December 2021.

Director (Works) of IRCON, Verma will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in charge of the project works and performs statutory and management functions, promoting indigenisation under the AtmaNirbhar Scheme of the Government.
