PESB names K Suresh Shetty for HPCL’s Director (HR) post

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of K Suresh Shetty for the post of Director (HR) of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) on Wednesday

New Delhi: K Suresh Shetty is set to be next Director (Human Resources) of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection (PESB), a head hunter body for PSUs, on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (HRD) and holding additional charge of Employee Relations in the same organisation.

Shetty has been recommended for the post of Director (HR) of HPCL from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its selection meeting held on January 11. Out of nine candidates, six candidates including Shetty, were from HPCL, two candidates from Indian Oil Corporation, and one candidate was from Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).

Shetty is a Master of Human Resource Management from Andhra University. He has been associated with HPCL's Human Resources Division since February 2015.

AS Director (HR) of HPCL, Shetty will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in charge of coordinating and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions, administrative control, etc. in the organisation.
