PESB names Satya Narain Kapri for SECL’s Director (Technical) post

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Satya Narain Kapri for the post of Director (Technical) of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL)

New Delhi: Satya Narain Kapri is set to be the next Director (Technical) of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a PSU under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Thursday. Presently, he is serving as General Manager in the same organisation.

Kapri has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of SECL from a list of eight candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on July 21. Out of eight candidates, two candidates were from SECL and one each from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Ltd (CMPDIL), Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), NCL India Limited and NTPC Limited.

As Director (Technical) of SECL, Kapri will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for the operation of mines and also for field activities, technical functions and safety of mines.
