New Delhi: Dr PK Krishnan, an Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer of Karnataka cadre of 1983-batch, has been given additional charge of the post of Chairperson, National Council for Vocational Education & Training (NCVET), on November 4. Currently, he is serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.

On the same day, senior Economic Advisor of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) Vinita Aggarwal has been given the additional charge of the post of Executive Member, National Council for Vocational Education & Traning (NCVET).

Now the NCVET will function as a unified regulator for Vocational Education & Traning and Skill Development in the country. It will subsume the National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) and National Council for Vocational Traning, an official statement from the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship said.
