POSOCO will soon get rechristened as the Grid Controller of India Limited as a resolution has been passed in this regard recently at the company's AGM

New Delhi: State-run Power System Operation Corporation Ltd (POSOCO) will soon get rechristened as the Grid Controller of India Limited as a resolution has been passed in this regard recently at the company's AGM (Annual General Meeting). "Keeping in view the enhanced role of the Company in the energy transition and its statutory functioning it was decided through a resolution passed in the recently held 13th AGM on September 28, 2022, through Video Conferencing mode," an official statement said on Wednesday. An official announcement is yet to be made in this regard.

The meeting was attended by S.R. Narasimhan, CMD, Directors, Company Secretary, CFO, and representatives from the Ministry of Power and Statutory and Secretarial Auditors.

The members also approved the payment of the Final Dividend of Rs 0.47 crore in addition to the Interim Dividend of Rs 4.27 crore paid earlier to the Ministry of Power.
