Power Grid CMD meets CM to discuss transmission projects in Himachal

The meeting focussed on the development and strengthening of solar transmission and other transmission projects in Himachal Pradesh

New Delhi: Ravi P Singh, Chairman and Managing Director at Power Grid, along with ED (BDD) and team held a meeting with the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jairam Thakur, at Himachal Sadan in New Delhi. The meeting focussed on the development and strengthening of solar transmission and other transmission projects in Himachal Pradesh. POWERGRID also discussed CSR activities that could aid the development of the state.

Power Grid

Power Grid is a state-owned electric utility company headquartered in Gurugram. It is a Maharatna PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power. The company transmits about 50 percent of the total power generated in India through the transmission network. Its former subsidiary company Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO) handles power management for the national grid and all state transmission utilities.
